THE RESTING PLACE
The Resting Place exists to help the Church sing the gospel.
We are a community of songwriters, worship leaders, musicians, pastors, and practitioners who share a desire to serve the local church through congregational worship.
Our aim is simple: to create songs and resources that are theologically rich, musically accessible, and spiritually formative. We believe the gathered voice of God's people is one of the most powerful instruments in the Church, and we want to help strengthen that voice. While our contributors come from a variety of backgrounds, traditions, and locations, we are united by a common commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ and His Church.
Everything we create is intended to serve local congregations, support worship leaders, and point people to the rest that is found in Jesus alone.
From the Church. For the Church.
A more rooted way of serving the Church
The Resting Place is growing into a worship collective shaped by local churches, pastoral care, theological depth, and songs meant to be carried by congregations. We are committed to creating resources slowly, thoughtfully, and accessibly — not to build a platform, but to strengthen the Church’s voice.
OUR MISSION
We exist to help the Church sing the gospel.
Through songs, resources, and relationships, we seek to serve local churches with music that is theologically rich, accessible, and congregationally useful.
“IT IS THE VOICE OF THE CHURCH THAT IS HEARD IN SINGING TOGETHER. IT IS NOT YOU THAT SINGS, IT IS THE CHURCH THAT IS SINGING, AND YOU, AS A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH, MAY SHARE IN ITS SONG.“
— Dietrich Bonhoeffer
